British Airways is introducing free high-speed in-flight wifi via space-based partnership

Travelers flying with the airline will soon enjoy high-speed connectivity in the air at no cost following a recent agreement from Elon Musk's space firm.

Complimentary plus Quick Internet Available to Everyone

British Airways revealed that the no-cost, “fast and dependable” wifi provision via the satellite provider will be offered to passengers in coach, premium economy, or premium cabins as of next month.

Widespread Deployment Throughout Various Carriers

The parent company of British Airways, the airline group, stated it had secured an partnership with the satellite firm for providing wifi services across 500-plus jets across their airlines, which also include the Irish airline, Iberia, plus the low-cost airline.

Uninterrupted Connectivity from Gate through Arrival

British Airways noted that the rollout for the system was part of a multi-billion pound “upgrade” initiative and would deliver lag-free wifi service to passengers starting at boarding to landing, also when in flight above large bodies of water or remote regions.

Passengers can link multiple devices while they will not require a separate login.

Limited wifi service remains provided to British Airways travelers across most of the airline's jets via its .air platform.

Members of the airline's loyalty club can send communications and text-based messages during flights at no cost, while travelers who want to access music, video, and films throughout their flight who are not flying in premium cabins can expect to be charged from four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for a connectivity bundle.
